Time sheets

Support Workers are responsible for ensuring that their time sheets are completed. The actual length of time spent with the Client must be recorded accurately, and returned to the office so that pay and charges can be calculated in a timely way.

Recording

Both electronic and paper records will be compiled, maintained and disposed of according to the relevant recording policies and the guidance for the particular system. Records kept in the Clients home will be legible, factual, signed and dated and kept in a safe place as agreed with the Client, their relatives or representative.

Damage and breakages

Any damage to a Client's property must be reported to them at once, and also to the Team Leader. The damaged article should be kept in case it is the subject of an insurance claim. The Client may claim on their own household insurance; if they are not covered on that, they may submit a written claim to the organiser. If the damage is shown to be the result of negligence on the part of a staff member, a claim may be made on Supported Lives Public Liability Policy.
