The clinical tasks policy gives detailed guidance on the ways in which staff may assist with medication. There are policies and procedures which clearly state which tasks may be carried out by Supported Lives staff and those which remain the duty of medically trained staff. Supported Lives staff must not carry out any such task which is not explicitly assigned to them on the care assessment.
